Medical professionals: In this course, we will discuss aggressive behavior as a symptom in individuals with intellectual disability. This will include a discussion of risk factors, medical and psychiatric conditions, behavioral explanations, and other contributors to aggressive behaviors. We will describe an assessment approach and evidence-based choices for intervention and treatment for both adults and children. 

Non-medical: In this course, we will discuss possible medical, psychological, and social components of aggressive behavior in individuals with intellectual disability. The course will address preparing for an evaluation for these behaviors as well as interventions and treatments that could be utilized.
